RASA Ruggen Series

Redefining a complete product line.

What started as a single firefighting boot evolved into a broader transformation of RASA’s product offering — raising standards across design, quality and manufacturing while meeting strict international safety requirements.

The result was a new benchmark for the company’s products and market positioning.

The Objective

RASA came to DISARM with an established presence in protective equipment and a clear ambition: to elevate its footwear range.

The goal was to develop a new generation of products capable of competing with leading international brands — while meeting the demands of professional firefighting.

Building the Platform

A new design language was developed across the range, combining protection, ergonomics and manufacturing requirements.

Key components and construction principles were defined to create a recognizable and scalable RASA footwear platform.

From Design to Production

The development moved through multiple rounds of prototyping, testing and factory feedback.

Each iteration refined construction, fit and performance, translating the design intent into a production-ready product.

One Language. Multiple Applications

The result is a cohesive family of professional footwear built around a shared design language.

Different constructions and levels of protection address specific applications while maintaining a consistent RASA identity.

PUMA Milenio

Reinterpreting a classic through contemporary design.

A redesign focused on evolving the overall shape, proportions and construction through contemporary technologies, while preserving the character and identity of the original. Developed as an industrial design study.

Footwear design / Redesign / Visualization

Understanding the Original.

The original Milenio was analyzed through its overall shape, proportions and construction to identify the elements that defined its character and establish a clear foundation for the redesign.

Footwear design / Redesign / Visualization

Developing a Contemporary Language.

Through sketching and form exploration, the original architecture was progressively reworked into a more dynamic and contemporary expression while maintaining the recognizable proportions of the Milenio.

Footwear design / Redesign / Visualization

The New Milenio

The final proposal combines updated proportions, surfaces and detailing into a cohesive new expression, maintaining a clear connection to the original design.
